Week of October 2—Recent Lessons Learned from Editors

This week’s posts are based on things I’ve heard editors say (or read in editor emails) in the last ten months. Sometimes I’m so busy, I forget to listen. Or so busy, I forget to learn. Or so busy, I forget to apply what I’ve learned. So I’m revisiting things heard and read in an attempt to apply the lessons I should have learned. I hope you’ll take time to read, to listen, to learn, and to apply what you learn, too.
NOTE: I won’t be mentioning the names of editors in these posts. I don’t want to send you off on goose-chases after editors you’ve not researched or met or felt a connection with. But we can still learn from these mystery editors!
